Recognition of 2015 Graduates

Pastor Gail with Lucy Schwendinger, Eagan High School graduate who will attend St. Cloud State University, and Caroline Pippert, Simley High School graduate who will be attending St. Olaf College. In addition, Clayton Short graduated from Iowa State University College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering and Dana Scopatz graduated from Luther Seminary with a PhD in Systematic Theology.

Thanks, Choir!

Many thanks to the Sanctuary Choir for their leadership in worship this past season. Choir members include: Ward Mens, Chuck Martin, Dan Miller, Bob Scopatz, Jeanna Schwendinger, Lucy Schwendinger, Ruth Martin, Lynn Bonkowski, Liz Chun, Sharon Yekaldo, Judy Pfenning, Dawn Kinnenen, Dana Scopatz, and Carol Schultz. The choir is directed by John Kemp and Joan Fitch is the accompanist.

In mid-May, the members of Faith UMC thanked the past year’s dedicated Sunday School teachers: pre-school – Sheri Lucas; grades 1-7 – Jody Sielski; and adults – Bill Bonkowske, Dana Scopatz, Gil Kinnunen, and Pastor Gail.

Dinner with Live and Silent Auctions

This event takes place in April. It is always a lot of fun with our own “lively auctioneer” Gil Kinnunen. For more information, or to donate items for the live or silent auctions, please contact either Lynn or Judy.

Easter Breakfast

Breakfast is served before church Easter morning.

Bazaar with Soup and Salad Luncheon

bazaar2cEach fall the United Methodist Women hold an annual bazaar with crafts, baked goods and gifts for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. In conjunction with the bazaar, a Soup and Salad Luncheon is served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 

Basket and Book Sale

baskets_10089cA Basket Sale, often with the addition of a book sale, is held in November. Baskets of all types and price ranges will be available for purchase, as will a large variety of books. Baskets themes include: Christmas, wedding, hostess, children’s items, baby gifts and more. Lunch is also available for purchase.

Breakfast with Santa

On the first Saturday in December children will have the opportunity to have breakfast with Santa, sit on his lap and have their photos taken. Folks are asked to bring a donation for the Neighbor’s, Inc. Food Shelf. Photos from 2014 Breakfast with Santa
